The Golden Beverage Tasting & Chili Cook-Off is BACK!
The Golden Welcome Center is proud and honored to take the helm of this beloved Golden tradition. As the community's "welcome hug" for visitors from around the world, the Golden Welcome Center is a natural fit to host an event that celebrates the people, businesses, flavors, and spirit that make Golden such a special place to live, work, and visit.
Located just across the street from Parfet Park, the Golden Welcome Center is bringing back all the favorites that have made this event a community favorite—delicious chilis, refreshing beverage tastings, local exhibitors, entertainment and a fun-filled atmosphere for friends, families, and visitors alike.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Golden Welcome Center relies on community support to provide visitor services, promote local businesses and offer programs and events that enhance the quality of life in Golden. Proceeds from this event will directly support the Golden Welcome Center's community programming and outreach efforts, as well as benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Presented in partnership with Coors Distributing Company, this year's event promises great flavors, great people, and great causes. Join us for an unforgettable afternoon celebrating everything that makes Golden great.
Come hungry, come thirsty, and come raise a glass to community, connection, and the Golden spirit!
Tickets
Admission is by ticket only. ADVANCE TICKET SALES ONLY. NO "DAY OF" TICKET SALES. Admission includes beverage and chili samples, entertainment and access to business exhibitors and food vendors. Tickets on sale July 1.
Beer
In partnership with Coors Distributing Company (CDC), this event will showcase 25+ brands - from spirits, domestic beers, imports, and specialty crafts to non-alcoholic varieties. They've got a beverage for you!
All ticketed guests will receive a souvenir sampling beverage glass to properly see, smell, and taste all of the different beverage products.
Parking
Parking in and around the downtown Golden area on a Saturday afternoon can be challenging. We recommend free parking just a block to the east - at the Clear Creek Parking Lot at 304 - 10th Street. For more information about where to park, visit https://www.parkgoldenco.com/map-n-park
Drink Responsibly
Drink Responsibly. Limit the amount of alcohol you drink and alternate drinking alcohol with water or non-alcoholic beverages.
Eat Before the Event. Don’t drink on an empty stomach. Consider grabbing a bite at one of the fabulous downtown Golden eateries before the event. Food samples and snacks will be available at the event.
Transportation - Plan ahead to get home safely. Designate a driver, take a cab, use Uber or Lyft, bus, or stay overnight at a friend’s house or hotel, or simply walk home.
